How to Make the Perfect Cup of Plunger Coffee
The French Press, also known as a coffee plunger, originated in the 1800s and is a popular and easy way to brew a great cup of coffee at home.
Here’s how to make your own at home:
Place 3 tablespoons of fresh DHUWA ground coffee (one per cup plus one for milk) in your your French Press.
Fill glass jug 1/3 full with boiled water to wet coffee grounds. Leave for 30 seconds to allow coffee to bloom.
Fill rest of the way with boiled water, stir and insert plunger. Its filter should sit just above the water.
Let steep for at least 4 mins. Want a stronger brew? Let steep for up to 6 mins.
While you wait, warm milk to body temperature for a sweeter taste.
Slowly plunge the press and pour into your favourite mug.
